Chi McBride
Malcolm Jones on The Nine

Chi McBride Chi McBride is one of the hardest working men in Hollywood, starring in countless TV shows and feature films. He can next be seen in Universal's "You are Going to Prison," where he stars opposite Dax Shepard and Will Arnett. The film, directed by Bob Odenkirk, will be released Thanksgiving 2006.

McBride is currently filming "Brothers Solomon," with Arnett and Will Forte. The movie centers on well-meaning but socially inept brothers who try to find their perfect mates in order to provide their dying father with a grandchild.

Other feature film credits include the recently completed Touchstone film, "Annapolis," starring opposite James Franco and Tyrese; "Waiting," opposite Ryan Reynolds; "Roll Bounce," starring opposite Bow Wow and Nick Cannon in a film from the producers of Barber Shop; Steven Spielberg's "The Terminal," starring opposite Tom Hanks; "I, Robot," starring opposite Will Smith; "Narc"; "Paid in Full"; "Undercover Brother," opposite Eddie Griffin; "Gone in 60 Seconds," opposite Nicholas Cage; "The Kid," co-starring with Bruce Willis; and starring roles in "The Frighteners," "Hoodlum" and "Mercury Rising." He also received critical acclaim for his starring role in the Hudlin Brothers' production, "Tang," a segment of HBO's "Cosmic Slop Trilogy."

McBride made his feature film debut in "The Distinguished Gentleman," opposite Eddie Murphy, and followed with roles in the Oscar-nominated "What's Love Got to Do With It" and "The Great White Hype."

He is probably best known though for his five-year run on the critically acclaimed David E. Kelley series, "Boston Public," starring as Principal Steven Harper. Additional TV roles include a five-episode arc on "House," playing Bundini Brown in ABC's telefilm "Muhammad Ali: King of the World," plus appearances on "Killer Instinct" and "Deviant Behavior." He's also well-known for his role as the wisecracking, philosophical janitor on "The John Larroquette Show."
