Wendy Crewson Maggie Steech on The Beast
Wendy Crewson has just finished shooting "The Last Brickmaker in America," opposite Sidney Poitier, and will commence principle photography in February 2002 on the sequel to the box office smash "The Santa Clause." She was most recently seen in "The 6th Day," opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Bicentennial Man," opposite Robin Williams and "What Lies Beneath," opposite Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer.Ms. Crewson's other film credits include "The Santa Clause," "Air Force One," "Gang Related," "To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday," "Corrina, Corrina," "The Good Son" and "The Doctor." Her distinguished television career has earned her an ACTRA Best Actress Award for the series "Home Fires," and nominations for "I'll Never Get to Heaven," "Getting Married in Buffalo Jump" and "The War Brides." Ms. Crewson also starred in the series "Hard Copy," and Robert Altman's "Tanner '88" for HBO. Her other television credits include "The Lives of Girls and Women," "From the Earth to the Moon" and her Gemini Award-winning portrayal of Sue Rodriguez in "At the End of the Day: The Sue Rodriguez Story." She also stars in a wheel of television movies entitled "Criminal Instinct," with Victor Garber. A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Ms. Crewson received a Bachelor of Arts from Queen's University in Kingston and continued her post-graduate studies in London at the Webber Douglass Academy of Dramatic Arts and the American Repertory Theatre.
