This adventurous philosophy led 29-year-old pediatric physical therapist Trista Rehn to the hit reality series "The Bachelor." Though she beat out a field of 23 other women for the affection of one man, she ultimately didn't make that particular love connection. However turnabout is fair play, and now it's Trista who gets the chance to choose her potential mate, via "The Bachelorette."

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Trista was an outgoing tomboy who excelled in soccer, swimming and softball. Her family moved to St. Louis when she was just four, but by age 11 her parents divorced. Although she was an only child, she spent countless hours with neighboring families and developed strong relationships that continue even today.

Trista graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Exercise Science. In 1995 she was accepted at the University of Miami, where she pursued her Masters and graduated with honors. Her passion for dancing led her to audition -- successfully -- for the NBA's Miami Heat dancers. She spent two seasons on their squad while maintaining a full-time job at Miami Children's Hospital.

Now living in Los Angeles, Trista prepares for a second chapter in the adventure of a lifetime - the search for true love.
