The Bachelorette Wednesdays at 9:00 pm on WCHS-TV8
Meredith Phillips, former participant and romantic hopeful from Bob Guiney's season of "The Bachelor," is the star of the latest installment of "The Bachelorette." Meredith, 30, a makeup artist originally from Portland, Oregon, who currently resides in Los Angeles, hopes to meet a man who shares her desire for a serious, long-term relationship and possibly even marriage. "The Bachelorette," an original one-hour primetime romance reality television series, returns for a second season on WCHS-TV8, Wednesday, January 14 at 9:00 p.m."Fans were shocked when Meredith didn't receive a rose from Bob. They couldn't get enough of her, so we decided to make her the next 'Bachelorette,'" said Mike Fleiss, creator and executive producer at Next Entertainment. This season of "The Bachelorette" introduces new elements from the very beginning, such as a white rose handed out at the first rose ceremony, which wins the man who receives it the first one-on-one date with Meredith. Also fans of "The Bachelor" get a delicious surprise when Kelly Jo, the runner-up from Bob's season of "The Bachelor," moves into the Bachelor Pad to offer her perspective on the men and their chances to win Meredith's heart. Meredith will get to know 25 men via a series of social gatherings and exotic, romantic dates -- in groups with some, and individually with others. She will introduce some of the men to her closest friends and family, and will visit their hometowns and meet their parents in an effort to determine the most desirable and compatible prospect. "The Bachelorette" follows a gradual process of elimination, as Meredith is initially presented with 25 suitors, then narrows it down to 15 on the season premiere by presenting each with a single, red rose. Meredith then decides on 10, six, four, three, two and, ultimately, the one man who captures her heart. At any point along the way, however, should any of the men decide that he is no longer interested in the Bachelorette, he may reject her invitation to continue dating. "The Bachelorette" provides an in-depth, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of each participant involved in this unique dating process. At the end of the journey, Meredith will have had an unforgettable experience, made new friendships and quite possibly found true love. Chris Harrison guides this romantic journey, serving as friend and confidant, as Meredith and her suitors learn more about each other. Having guided the last five "Bachelors" and "Bachelorette" Trista Rehn, Harrison is in a unique position to offer sound advice during this process. "The Bachelor" is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Telepictures Productions. Mike Fleiss ("Are You Hot? The Search for America's Sexiest People") is executive producer. Lisa Levenson, Scott Jeffress and Jason Carbone are co-executive producers. Need to write?
