Twelve-year-old Andrea Bowen got into acting by following in the footsteps of her older siblings, each of whom appear regularly on Broadway and frequently guest-starred on national television shows. The family has been featured on "Oprah" and was even the subject of an article in Ladies Home Journal magazine.

Andrea has compiled an impressive list of both stage and screen credits. When she was just seven, she became the youngest child ever to play the Young Cosette in "Les Miserables" on Broadway. She went on to create the role of Marta in the 1998 Broadway revival of "The Sound of Music," opposite Richard Chamberlain, and the role of Adele in the original Broadway company of "Jane Eyre." In addition she is playing the role of Alison in Disney's new production of "When You Wish!"

On television she has guest-starred on both "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: SVU," as well as on "Arli$$," "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment," "Third Watch" and "All My Children." Her film credits include "Ice Age," "The Longest Journey," "Highball" and "New York Crossing."

As a recording artist, Andrea can be heard on the original cast recordings of "Jane Eyre" and "The Sound of Music." She was also a part of the concept CDs "Night of the Hunter," "Z the Masked Musical," "Sugar Beats" and "The Broadway Kids."

Andrea currently lives in New York City with her parents, three brothers, two sisters and two dogs. She attends The Professional Performing Arts School. In addition to acting, she loves to sing and dance and is an avid reader. Her other hobbies are swimming, rock climbing, and horseback riding.
