David Newsom David Newsom is a familiar face to television viewers, having amassed an impressive body of television and film work during his ten years in the entertainment industry. He now will play Janey Munro's talk show co-host and long-time friend, Rob, on the new ABC comedy series, "Talk to Me."

After being in Los Angeles only four days, Mr. Newsom landed his first role, a small part on ABC's hit series, "China Beach." Soon after, his next break was as Scott Bakula's brother on "Quantum Leap." These roles led to Mr. Newsom's first series, ABC's critically acclaimed "Homefront." Since then, he has appeared on a number of television series, including his portrayal of William McCuskey on NBC's "House Rules," as well as having recurring roles on "Judging Amy" and "Suddenly Susan." He also has appeared in numerous guest star roles, including "Sisters" and "Chicago Hope."

Mr. Newsom was a co-star on the Hallmark Hall of Fame production, "Rose Hill," as well as appearing in the made-for-television movies, "Sweet Dreams," "Sweet Justice" and "Troubleshooter." His film credits include "Where's Marlowe?," "Black Circle Boys," "Boys" and "Wes Craven's New Nightmare." He also has appeared in theatrical productions of "People in the Wind," "Death of a Salesman," "Salinger Stolen" and "The Unseen Hand."

A native of North Caldwell, New Jersey, Mr. Newsom currently lives with his dog, Burt, in Los Angeles.
