Talk to Me This program has completed its run and is no longer seen on WCHS-TV8
From creator/executive producer Suzanne Martin ("Frasier"), comes "Talk to Me," a new ensemble comedy series starring Kyra Sedgwick ("Something to Talk About," "Phenomenon"), which takes a look at the life of Janey Munro, a successful radio talk show host in New York.Janey's funny, irreverent and sometimes controversial views have established her as a "must-listen-to" voice in New York. Her on-air career is taking off, and Janey's life away from the microphone, which provides the fodder for her show, is filled with the trials and tribulations of being a single woman. At the station, Janey finds herself at odds with her publicly sworn competitor, social conservative radio psychologist Dr. Debra (Beverly D'Angelo, "American History X," "Lansky," National Lampoon "Vacation" films), who is working the timeslot following hers. On the homefront, Janey lives with her sister, Kat (Nicole Sullivan, "MAD TV"), who is helping her sort out her life. Kat loves to help people, however, her attempts to do so often leave her in need of some rescuing herself. Sharing the hot seat with Janey on her radio show are Rob (David Newsom, "Judging Amy," "Suddenly Susan," "House Rules"), her co-host and long-time buddy, who provides the male take on things; the endearingly clever Marshall (Max Baker), whose always on-target sound effects keep Janey's show zinging along; and "Cam" (Mike Estime, "Cosby," "Friday Night Videos," "Premium Blend"), the show's sharp, witty producer. WSJB's station manager, Sandy (Peter Jacobson, "Cradle Will Rock," "A Civil Action," "Spin City," "Cosby"), the son of the station's owner, tries to hide his insecurities behind a blustering facade. Of course, it's up to his studio family to save him from himself. Adding spice to Janey's show are the real-life celebrities, who pop up to add their distinctive voices to the day's hot topics. "Talk to Me" stars Kyra Sedgwick as Janey Munro, Beverly D'Angelo as Dr. Debra, David Newsom as Rob, Nicole Sullivan as Kat, Peter Jacobson as Sandy, Max Baker as Marshall and Mike Estime as "Cam." Suzanne Martin and Vic Kaplan are the executive producers of the series. Kyra Sedgwick, Suzan Bymel and Evelyn O'Neill are co-executive producers. "Talk to Me," which is filmed before a studio audience in New York, is from Hostage Productions in association with Touchstone Television.
