Jay Pickett Frank Scanlon on Port Charles 
Jay Pickett originated the role of Frank Scanlon, the complicated older brother of Joe, on the ABC Daytime drama "Port Charles." In Pickett's skilled hands, Frank has been transformed from an average medical technician to a complex and driven figure. His animosity towards those who get in his way makes for a volatile and unpredictable blend of intrigue and mystery, but since Karen Wexler has come into his life, a softer, gentler side to Frank has been revealed. His fight to return life to normalcy in "Port Charles: Time in a Bottle" proved that he will stop at nothing to save the woman he loves, even if it means risking his life.Pickett was born in Spokane, Washington, and grew up in Caldwell, Idaho. He received his B.A. degree in acting at Boise State University, and his M.F.A. in acting from UCLA, and appeared in numerous theatrical productions at both schools.
His first professional role was as a guest star on the television miniseries, "Rags to Riches." Other television credits include "China Beach," "Mr. Belvedere," "Dragnet," "Jake and the Fatman," "Days of Our Lives," "Perry Mason" and "Matlock." Pickett is married to Elena, a national sales manager, and they are the parents of two daughters, Maegan and Michaela. He enjoys most sports -- including football, basketball, baseball and skiing.
