Patricia Crowley
Mary Scanlon on Port Charles

Patricia Crowley photo As Mary Scanlon on the ABC Daytime drama "Port Charles," actress Patricia Crowley portrays the meddlesome yet well-intentioned mother to brothers Frank and Joe. A nurse at General Hospital, Mary keeps herself very involved in her sons' private and professional lives. She also owns one of Port Charles' favorite eateries, the Recovery Room, where many a life is changed for better or worse. In addition to her many duties, she maintains an exciting and sometimes adventurous relationship with husband Victor Collins (Nicholas Pryor).

A native of Maryland, Ms. Crowley made her television debut after being introduced to theater by her older sister, and began performing in Broadway shows. After rave reviews from her first performance, Ms. Crowley landed the second lead role in the film "Forever Female." After a handful of other films, Ms. Crowley began adding credits to her television repertoire, with over 400 guest appearances.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Ms. Crowley has been seen more recently on "Family Law," "Melrose Place," "Charmed," "Friends," "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Empty Nest" and "Frasier." Although she is best-known for her role as Joan Nash, the loving mother on the series "Please Don't Eat the Daisies," Ms. Crowley is also recognized as Emily Fallmont from the Spelling drama "Dynasty." In the second of her daytime roles, she remains energetic and sexy. She recently appeared in the Billy Crystal-directed drama "61*," which focused on the lives of baseball greats Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris.

Holding a special place in her heart, the cast members of "Port Charles" have become her second family. In addition to the demands of her exciting career, Ms. Crowley puts her family first. She enjoys having her five grandchildren at the house for sleepovers and playing golf with her son and daughter.

Ms. Crowley resides in Los Angeles with husband Andy Friendly.
