Popular film and television star Damon Wayans headlines the new series as Michael Kyle, who only wants to know... what happened to his life? His stay-at-home bride became a stock market trailblazer. His only son idolizes gangster rap stars instead of him. His moody, adolescent daughter's two favorite hobbies are asking him for money and giving him grief. And his youngest daughter rarely lets her Daddy have the last word. Perhaps, after all of the chaos is over, he will realize that his dream of having a normal American family came true a long time ago.

"My Wife and Kids" also stars Tisha Campbell-Martin as Janet Kyle, George O. Gore II as Jr. Kyle, Jazz Raycole as Claire Kyle and Parker McKenna Posey as Kady Kyle.

In the premiere episode, "Pilot," Michael has been used to having his wife at home, taking care of him and the kids. Now that she wants to use her hard-earned college degree, he has trouble accepting the fact that she wants to work full-time. During a meeting with a marriage counselor, Michael explains that it's not as if the family needs the financial support; he owns a fleet of delivery trucks and his successful business keeps the family comfortable.

Life at home with his three children isn't any less complicated: Twelve-year-old Claire gets carried away with the eyebrow tweezers and her teenaged brother, Jr. Kyle, wants to show his Dad how his raging hormones have changed his body. Thank goodness for five-year-old Kady, who seems to be the only one who listens to Dad -- even if she is getting pretty good at expressing her own opinion.

Guest starring are Marlene Forte as Rosa Lopez and Wendell Pierce as Dr. Boucher.
