Michaela Conlin
Dr. Maggie Yang on MDs

Michaela Conlin photo Michaela Conlin's parents realized early on that they needed an outlet to channel all of her excess energy. They found the perfect solution when her kindergarten class in their hometown of Allentown, PA, announced auditions for the classic children's tale "The Gingerbread Man." Conlin won the title role and became the world's first five-year-old Eurasian Gingerbread Woman (Conlin's mother is Chinese and her father is Irish). From then on Conlin was hooked, and she continued performing in local theater and dance productions, from kindergarten to high school.

After finishing her freshman year in high school, Conlin started traveling to New York to take acting classes. When it came time to decide on which college to attend, she chose NYU's Tisch School of the Arts because she wanted to major in theater and also have a liberal arts education. While at NYU, she studied at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School for two years and traveled to Amsterdam to study with the Experimental Theatre Wing. She continued performing in New York throughout college, on stage and film, and graduated from NYU in three-and-a-half years with a BFA in Theater.

Conlin's television credits include guest appearances on "Law & Order," "The Division" and "All My Children." She is also a regular on the Bravo Network series "The It Factor." Her film credits include "Garmento," "Pipe Dream" and "Love the Hard Way." Her theater experience includes roles in "The Little Bit of Purity," "The Battle of Bull Run," "Always Makes Me Cry" and "David's Mother."

Conlin currently resides in Los Angeles with her boyfriend. When not working, she enjoys traveling and writing short stories.
