Jane Lynch photo Jane Lynch cut her theatrical teeth at Second City, Steppenwolf Theatre and in many church basements all over the greater Chicago area.

Currently shooting Christopher Guest's new movie, "A Mighty Wind," Lynch has also appeared in "Best in Show," "Collateral Damage," "What Planet Are You From?" and "The Fugitive."

Television viewers know her for her recurring roles in "Seventh Heaven," "Felicity," "Judging Amy" and "West Wing." She has also had guest roles in "Boston Public," "The X Files," "Titus," "Arli$$," "The Division," "Popular" and "Gilmore Girls."

Lynch authored a play entitled "Oh Sister, My Sister!" which had nice runs at the Tamarind Theater and Bank Theater, and won her the L.A. Weekly Comedy Ensemble of the Year Award.
