Aunjanue Ellis Dr. Quinn Joyner on MDs
Aunjanue Ellis made her Broadway debut in George C. Wolfe's "The Tempest," which began as a Shakespeare in the Park production. She has appeared in off-Broadway productions of "Cider House Rules" and "Seeking the Genesis," and played Hermione in Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale."Ellis has also appeared in numerous films, including "Men of Honor," with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Robert De Niro, "Caveman's Valentine," with Samuel L. Jackson," "Girlstown," Miramax's "In Too Deep," "Map of the World" and "Desert Blue." On television she is known to audiences for her recurring roles in ABC's "The Practice," "Third Watch" and "New York Undercover." Ellis studied acting in the graduate drama program at NYU, after receiving her BA in African-American studies from Brown University.
