Mary on Married to the Kellys

Emily Rutherfurd has been drawn to acting ever since she was a little girl. Her father, an attorney, would once a year indulge his secret passion for acting by performing in Gilbert and Sullivan operas. Emily knew then that was the road she would take.

Leaving New York City, she attended USC, where she immersed herself in theatre while working on her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.

Soon after graduation Emily landed her first television series, the CBS show, "Work with Me," opposite Nancy Travis and Kevin Pollack. She loves performing in front of a live audience and has not stopped working since. She starred opposite Ellen DeGeneres in "The Ellen Show," and has had a recurring role on the hit show, "Will & Grace."

In her spare time Emily is a volunteer with Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), a group that encourages children to read.

A newlywed, Emily enjoys sailing and cooking. She looks forward to being part of the terrific ensemble cast on ABC's "Married to the Kellys."
