Sheriff Tom Underlay on Invasion

William Fichtner William Fichtner was most recently seen in "Crash," for writer/director Paul Haggis, and "The Longest Yard," with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. Next Year he will be featured in Sony's "Ultraviolet."

Fichtner had two films premiere at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival -- Rodrigo Garcia's "Nine Lives" and DreamWorks' "The Chumscrubber." He also starred alongside Jeff Bridges in "The Moguls," which closed the Santa Barbara film festival.

Other film credits include Ridley Scott's "Black Hawk Down," "First Snow," "What's the Worst That Could Happen?," Wolfgang Petersen's "The Perfect Storm," "Drowning Mona," "Passion of Mind," "Armageddon," Michael Mann's "Heat," "Contact," alongside Jodie Foster, Doug Liman's "Go," Steven Soderbergh's "The Underneath," Agnieszka Holland's "Julie Walking Home," "Equilibrium," "The Settlement," alongside John C. Reilly, and Kevin Spacey's directorial debut, "Albino Alligator."

Fichtner was recently seen in HBO's critically acclaimed "Empire Falls," opposite Paul Newman and Ed Harris. He also starred in the ABC series "MDs" and guest starred on "The West Wing."

As a member of the Circle Repertory Theatre, Fichtner won critical acclaim for his role in "The Fiery Furnace," directed by Norman Rene. He has also appeared on the stage in "Raft of the Medusa" at the Minetta Lane Theatre, "The Years" at the Manhattan Theatre Club, "Clothes for a Summer Hotel" at the Williamstown Theatre and "Machinal" at Joseph Papp's Public Theatre.
