Thomas is a young actor with talent and wisdom beyond his years. Most recently, he starred in the feature film, "Wild America" for Morgan Creek. The film is based on the true story of three teenage brothers who set out from Fort Smith, Arkansas, in the summer of 1967 to prove they could become filmmakers of endangered animals.

Thomas is no stranger to the big screen. Theater audiences saw him in "The Adventures of Pinocchio," starring in the title role. Prior to that, he starred as Tom Sawyer in Walt Disney Pictures' "Tom and Huck," and in "Man of the House." He also was the voice of cub Simba in the mega-hit, "The Lion King." Recognizing him for his box-office appeal, the National Association of Theater Owners named him 1996 Young Star of the Year at ShoWest.

At a relatively young age, Thomas jokes about aspirations of being a "renaissance man!" He is aware of the "child actor syndrome" and does not want to fall victim to passing trends. Therefore, he already looks toward more feature films, writing, directing and other facets of the business that enhance career longevity. Being a straight "A" student should help him achieve these goals with added ease.

In recognition of his outstanding presence, The Los Angeles Times wrote, "Thomas is articulate on a range of topics, from the importance of soccer to Brazilian culture, to the merits of Carnegie-Mellon University's business program . . . If the young man sounds too perfect, stand in line . . ." It is this level of intelligence and maturity that he draws on in his roles.

Thomas was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and moved with his family to Sacramento, California, when he was five. Prior to beginning his acting career in 1989, he worked as a model, appeared in industrial films and commercials and as Tiny Tim in a regional production of "Scrooge."

Though a mature and hardworking young man, catch him during a leisure moment and he'll more than likely want to share stories of his real passions -- fly fishing and travel.
