Lisa McRee photo Lisa McRee's first broadcast as "Good Morning America's" co-anchor was September 8, 1997.

Ms. McRee was co-anchor of the 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM news broadcasts for KABC-TV's Eyewitness News in Los Angeles, a position she held since 1994.

Prior to her work for KABC, Ms. McRee spent 2 1/2 years at ABC News in New York, where she was one of the original anchors of "World News Now," the network's overnight news broadcast which launched in January, 1992. In addition, Ms. McRee reported for the ABC News magazine, "Day One," and was the anchor of "Lifetime Magazine," a primetime news program produced by ABC News for the Lifetime cable network.

Ms. McRee joined ABC News from WFAA-TV in Dallas, where she co-anchored the station's midday and 5:00 PM news broadcasts from 1989 until December, 1991.

A native of Ft. Worth, Texas, Ms. McRee holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications from the University of California at San Diego.
