Chris Egan Agrippa on the epic series Empire
Chris Egan, in his U.S. television debut, portrays Agrippa, Octavius' trusted confidant and most effective general.A native of Sydney, Australia, Egan has been performing since the tender age of three, having appeared in several television commercials. He has always been interested in drama and knew from a young age that it was the career path he wanted to pursue. In an effort to realize his dream, he attended high school at Sydney's McDonald College School of Performing Arts. He furthered his training in singing, dancing and acting with Kick Performance Group and The Sydney Festival Dance School. It was his performances in the roles of Gavroche in the Glen Street Theatre production of "Les Misérables" and of Baby John in "West Side Story" at the Zenith Theatre that displayed Egan's future talent as an actor. In 1998 he won the North Shore Best Actor Award. The following year, at the age of sixteen, his dream came true when he was cast in the role of Nick Smith on the successful Australian series, "Home and Away." He portrayed this popular character for three years. Egan has continued to earn critical kudos, receiving Dolly magazine's Prince of TV Award in 2001 and being nominated for the TV WEEK Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent. Since moving from Sydney to Los Angeles in January 2004 to pursue his film and television career, Egan he has appeared in the soon to be released feature, "Alpha Male," and is currently shooting a Warner Bros pilot, "The Prince," for the WB Network.
