Joel Murray Pete on Dharma & Greg
Joel Murray has made his mark in television by playing a variety of characters. Most recently, he starred as sanitation worker Ray Litvak in the comedy series, "Love & War." He played the highly under-qualified captain of the Venice police precinct in "Pacific Station," and earned notice as the millionaire's ne'er-do-well son in the comedy, "Grand." He also appeared in the cable feature, "Long Gone."Like his brothers, Bill and Brian Doyle, Joel became interested in acting at an early age. His foray into show business came at the age of seven, when he landed a part in a local play. Murray went on to perform in high school musicals and later studied drama at Loyola University in Chicago. He toured nationally with the renowned Second City/Main Stage troupe and performed with the Atlantic City and Northwest Second City players. His additional theater credits include "Bleacher Bums," "The Frog Prince" and "Albert's Bridge." On the big screen, Murray has played roles in "Shakes the Clown," "One Crazy Summer" and "Men Will Be Boys." He was featured in "Scrooged," in which he appeared with his brother Bill. Murray has also enjoyed success as a voice-over actor, as the voice of Chester the Cheetah in the Cheetos commercials and as Beethoven the dog in the cartoon series.
