With both parents as scientists -- her mother is a herpetologist at UC Santa Cruz and her father is a botanist - Aspen was committed to getting a college degree and attended UCLA, where she received a BA in Theatre. After graduation she made her professional debut in the Pasadena Playhouse production of "The Lion in Winter," opposite Broadway star Carol Cook.

Aspen made her television debut as a guest star on the comedy series "Hope and Gloria," and has appeared in such other series as "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Chicago Hope," "NYPD Blue" and "Married...With Children." She is best known for her role as Daphne on "Party of Five," and she also had a starring role in the USA Network series "Claude's Crib."

She recently finished production on director Cameron Crowe's "Vanilla Sky," opposite Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz. Also soon to be released, Aspen stars in Doug Liman's "See Jane Run," opposite Clea DuVall.

In her off time Aspen enjoys hiking -- she recently endured a rockslide at Utah's Zion National Park -- dancing and photography. She resides in Los Angeles with her three cats and one dog.
